The Excel Lightweight Wheelchair is durable and has a carbon steel frame with chip-resistant double powder coated finish. Also featuring durable, easy to clean composite handrims. Sealed bearings in fork housing, rear wheels and front wheels keep dirt out and are maintenance free, adding durability. (Image may show upgrades).
Excel Lightweight Wheelchairs include upholstery that is made of tough nylon. Threaded seat screw inserts reduce stripping from upholstery changes. Heel loops come on swing away detachable footrest models. Elevating legrest models feature a notched, maintenance-free stainless steel ratchet bar. Padded and upholstered armrests and calf pads are standard. 300 lb weight capacity.
Desk length armrests are shorter arms that would make it easier to slide up to a table to eat or a desk to work.
Swing away footrests are standard with most wheelchairs. They are removable with a quick release lever, and can swing to the left or right to make it easier to stand back up.
Elevating leg rests give you the ability to keep one or both legs elevated. They are removable with a quick release lever, and can swing to the left or right to make it easier to stand back up.
Removable armrests have a quick release leaver on the front and back of the arms to pull the arms off for easy side transfers. This is a big help in getting to the car, toilet, or even the bed.
A dual axel allows you to lower the seat to floor height of a wheelchair from 19 ½” to 17 ½”. This is a great feature for a shorter user.
