The Drive Lightweight Aluminum Transport Chair features 8" front urethane casters and 12" rear wheels. This folding transport chair comes standard with permanent full-padded arms, a fold-down back and swingaway footrests. It also has attendant-operated wheel locks for easy use. This chair provides safe and comfortable transportation for users up to 300 lbs.
A standard seat size on a transport chair is 19”. We also have chairs available in smaller or larger sizes. If you are unsure of the size you need you can measure across the lap of the person that will be in the chair. Make sure to measure the widest part of the lap to insure a comfortable fit. Transport chairs are ideal for travel purposes because of their lightweight and compact folding design. Unlike a manual wheelchair a transport chair will require someone to push the user. Handbrakes are a great addition on a transport chair because the person pushing the chair will be able to work the brake if going downhill or the chair starts to fill like it is getting away. You can also flip the brakes downward to lock the chair. This will make it safe for someone to get into or out of the chair.
